Piercing woe, eternal soul;
crushed by love’s deep tempestuous tow.
Light doth flow within the soul making new the fallen soul.
Now doth sit eternally, crowned on high with majesty.
Heavens light now in sight;
to every man it shall command.
The price that was paid, the salvation that was gained, for such a one as me. O how great is the God I worship, that he stepped down and became like me, so that I might become like Him.
Look deep into the eyes of your Creator and wonder at a God so great that would weave His perfect will to deliver man from the confines and the curse of sin, and yet not once ever tampering with the individual free will of man so as to force him, (without his own free will to choose) to serve and obey.
“Today you will be with me in paradise.” were the words spoken to a thief who realized who it was that hung there upon that cross along side of him, and yet there was others who mocked and chose to remain in the darkness, even tho his life had shined so brightly, bearing witness of who he was.
As the words of the song declares “Oh I want to see Him, look upon His face, there to sing forever of His saving Grace” Let our hearts be lifted up in praise for a God that would draw our souls out of the darkness, so that now we might sit in the light of his glory, and worship him forever for his Majesty.
The Everlasting Salvation…
