Not mine own thought, but that which I have begot;
by the fellowship of Him whom wisdom wraps within.
I have wrapped wisdom in a cloud,
I have swaddled knowledge in a basket,
and I have hung truth upon a tree.
All these things have I surely done for thee.
The breath of life,
the gathering of the wind,
the cluster of beads dropped upon man.
The overshadowing of the clouds,
the gathering of the mountains,
and the opening of the womb brought forth the purest sound.
The separating of two lives housed inside
by an overpowering hand forcing on demand.
The ripping apart of the fruit of the heart;
and the dropping of dew into a river of love.
Gather into one thought lest the tree should rot;
deep within are sure the raising of a cure.
The separation inside, the dropping of dew,
the ripping apart; sought out a heart.
Feelings of infirmity,
mortal thoughts encompass me;
cry aloud my soul into the crowd.
The dove mourns, the eagle soars,
and the Son was crowned with a crown of thorns.
Piercing woe, eternal soul;
crushed by love’s deep tempestuous tow.
Light doth flow within the soul making new the fallen soul.
Now doth sit eternally, crowned on high with majesty.
Heavens light now in sight;
to every man it shall command.
I am deep and I am wide; the depths of me do I hide.
Cast your net unto me and out will come eternity.
Simplicity is the heart of eternity.
Love is freedom from captivity.
Truth is come unto you and me.
O how I love you for all eternity.
Seek silence, for a whispering wind is wrapped up within,
and the knowledge of the highest overpowers sin.
Sing me a song of love divine;
sweet ecstasy all is mine:
true is the voice I hear each day,
calling to me. O my beloved come near.
Sorrow and affliction were created for man,
to lead them into His mighty hand.
So rejoice when they lead thee,
and give glory to Him who gave them to thee.
How is the fool entangled by his folly?
and how is the wise wrapped up in wisdom?
The one to the pit; the other to the throne:
they were both created, but only one knows.
Because of wisdom I have sorrow;
because of knowledge I have grief:
but all in all we shall be gathered unto eternity.
The Spirit of God descending upon man;
the Spirit of God dwelling in man:
The one for the child: the other for the old man.
Sorrow to the afflicted, pain to the broken heart:
but in the house of the wise mercies love doth bind.
Counsel in the heart of a fool is like running water destined for waste.
Ponder your path at the milestone,
and do not forget all that you have seen;
for the generator controls the dam.
Bitterness is an evil disease and a loathsome sore,
which devours the body more and more.
Therefore go to the plowman, and require his plow;
and take ye salt, and remember the fire.
Arguments are like the wind;
they pass away quickly,
but the seed it sow’s
will bear fruit for many generations.
Mock a blind man and he will see:
mock a wise man and a curse will come upon you.
Justice does not protect honor:
but righteousness protects the godly.
As salt in the sea is bitter,
so is a lie unto a man’s soul.
Love quenches the fire:
but sin is the promotion of many a fool.
Everybody’s friend and nobody’s enemy
leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
A fool gives all his substance away and is in want:
but a wise servant gives accordingly.
Expectation is the spark that sets the fire of hope a blazing;
but the heart of the foolish is clothed with a cloak of despair.
The words of a foolish man are like feathers carried by the wind;
they blow across thy path, but can bear no weight.
But the words of the wise are like treasured gems
stored up within the heart against the day of battle.
He that does not listen to the instructions of life,
but is of an impudent face;
is as a ship amidst the tempestuous sea that lacks help.
It is better to return a gift than to receive on with a price.
It is better to stand without than to strike hands with the wicked.
A fool is as a gaping cavern; but a wise man will walk over it.
Courtesy dictates reason; while anger dictates violence.
Twain the thought, Mark the spot, cry ye not.
